# ToneSeed

> ToneSeed (store name: "Ear Training - ToneSeed") is an adaptive ear training app for iPhone, iPad and Android. Musicians train intervals, chords, scales, cadences, chord progressions, rhythm and melodic dictation, and sing with live pitch detection, in a daily practice plan that targets their weakest areas. Interval recognition is always free; ToneSeed Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, unlocks everything.

ToneSeed is for self-taught musicians, music students, choir and vocal learners, and producers building relative pitch. Answers are scored per element (each interval, chord or scale), and the app schedules review with spaced repetition, unlocks new material as earlier material is mastered, and shows which sounds a learner confuses with each other. Notation is real staff notation (Bravura music font). The app speaks 8 languages and works with or without an account.

- Recognition: Interval Recognition (13 intervals, unison to octave, ascending, descending or harmonic), Chord Recognition (16 chord types from triads to 13th chords, with inversions), Scale Recognition (12 scales: major, three minors, two pentatonics, blues and the five other church modes), Cadence Identification (perfect authentic, plagal, half, deceptive), Chord Progressions (26 progressions)
- Singing, graded by the microphone: Vocal Warmup, Interval Reproduction (sing the interval you hear), Interval Singing (sing the second note from the first), Melodic Echo (repeat a short melody), Chord Entrance (sing a chord tone), Solfege Singing (230 sight-singing exercises)
- Dictation, with staff notation: Rhythmic Dictation, Melodic Dictation, Melodic-Rhythmic Dictation, Atonal Dictation
