# SienteRitmo > SienteRitmo is a dance timing and Latin rhythm training app by ToneSeed. It helps dancers train their ears, find beat 1, hear clave, understand the instruments, and stay in time in salsa, bachata, merengue, kizomba, rumba, and Afro-Cuban music. ## Core purpose Most dance education teaches steps and figures but gives comparatively little attention to hearing the music. SienteRitmo is a practice studio for the listening side of social dancing. It connects rhythm perception to practical dancer goals: finding the start of an eight-count, choosing On1 or On2 timing, maintaining pulse, hearing phrase changes, and responding to instruments. ## Key features - Tap Trainer: tap with a percussion groove and receive immediate early/late, consistency, and beat-position feedback - Find the 1: practice identifying beat 1 in loops and real songs - Rhythm Lab: mix clave, conga tumbao, bongó, timbales, piano montuno, bass, and other layers - Ear training: recognize instruments, rhythm patterns, clave direction, changes, and phrases - Song Mode: use built-in songs or live on-device beat detection to practise with real music - Guided curriculum: paths for foundations, salsa, bachata, merengue, kizomba, rumba, and Afro-Cuban rhythm - Musicality guides: dancer-focused explanations of instruments, culture, song structure, breaks, phrasing, clave, tumbao, montuno, and related traditions - Progress tracking: timing scores, beat-one accuracy, clave recognition, and silent-count stability - Apple Watch companion for timing practice on the wrist - English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian interfaces ## Practice modes - Every beat - Beat 1 - Salsa On1 - Salsa On2 - Contratiempo - Clave hits and clave direction - Accents - Silent or ghost counts ## Supported dance and rhythm families - Salsa: son and rumba clave, tumbao, montuno, On1, and On2 - Bachata: güira, bongó, bass, guitars, and phrase changes - Merengue: tambora, güira, and the fast Dominican pulse - Kizomba: Angolan roots, kick, rim, bass, and slow pulse - Rumba: guaguancó, yambú, columbia, rumba clave, and quinto - Afro-Cuban: 6/8, bembé, batá, palo, yuka, makuta, and related traditions ## Availability and privacy SienteRitmo is free to download with selected lessons, tap modes, songs, guides, and Rhythm Lab styles included.
